Job description
As an Experience Developer II at ICF Next you are responsible for building and evolving the overall user experience of a website or application, working closely with the strategy, design, platform engineering, and content teams to align on creative design, strategy, and implementation objectives. This role partners with designers to ensure accessibility, usability, and feasibility, and with platform engineers to develop code within a selected Content Management or headless platform, including front-end technologies, platform configuration, design ops, and CMS integration.
The ideal candidate will be developing professional expertise, building knowledge of organization, processes, and clients. The Experience Developer will use professional experience, company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of straightforward problems.

Essential Functions:

Designs and develops primarily Internet/web pages and applications such as e-commerce and content-driven websites.

Codes, tests, debugs, documents and implements web applications using a variety of languages.

Develops proof-of-concepts and prototypes of easy to navigate user interfaces (UI) that consist of web pages with graphics, icons and color schemes that are visually appealing.

Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.

Uses judgment to determine approaches within well-established policies and procedures.

Interacts with functional peers within the immediate organization, as well as clients or vendors.

Demonstrate a desire to learn and accept new challenges within and outside of your core skills.

Basic Qualifications:
-
2+ years of recent relevant experience including
-
development experience with HTML and CSS
-
creating responsive emails that look good and function well on a variety of devices (desktop, mobile, tablet)
-
Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (preferred)
-
Desired Knowledge and Skills:
-
Experience with email testing/troubleshooting tools such as Email on Acid and Litmus
-
Experience with creative tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, and Figma
-
Proficiency with ES6 JavaScript and Web Standards
-
Proficiency with NodeJS
-
Proficiency with browser developer tools, git code versioning platforms, and JIRA
-
Proficiency with WCAG guidelines and Web Accessibility development practices

Experience with the deployment of web solutions
-
Strong technical and consultative communication skills
