Job description
Detailed Landscape is currently seeking experienced irrigation technicians to join our team. Our irrigation technicians are expected to have knowledge of current irrigation systems and installations, including but not limited too bubblers, water falls, water features, clocks, heads, etc. The ability to perform a wide variety of irrigation maintenance and installation tasks as well as analysis, troubleshooting, repairs and basic design are also expected of the irrigation technician.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must have 1-2 years of experience or any equivalent combination of experience and education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved, with irrigation systems
- Must provide proof and/or demonstrate knowledge of:
- Controllers- scheduling, installation, troubleshooting and repair
- Backflow Prevention repair, assembly and installation
- Installation, troubleshooting and repair of valves, wiring, pumps/pump stations and nozzles
- Start-up and Winterization of irrigation systems
- Safely operate heavy equipment (trenchers, skid, etc.)
- Safely operate various hand tools and powered tools needed to perform tasks
- Attach and operate truck with snow plow
- Knowledge of drip systems
- Knowledge of water feature installation and maintenance a plus
- Basic knowledge of landscape and plant materials
- Ability to assess, troubleshoot and maintain irrigation systems to ensure safe, efficient and effective coverage
- Knowledge and experience driving a truck with a snow plow
ABOUT DETAILED LANDSCAPE:
In 1999 in Fort Collins, Colorado, Clint Lucas started Detailed Landscape; just him and a truck, a used trailer and a couple of lawnmowers given to him by his dad. It was a lawn mowing service at first – or at least it felt that way.
But lawn care customers started asking for Clint’s help with small projects, like installing rock and mulch, building flower beds and retaining walls, planting trees and shrubs and other modifications to their landscaping. Those small projects got bigger and bigger, and word of mouth recommendations pushed Clint and Detailed Landscape to evolve.
After the first year, Clint brought on a couple employees to help; the next year and the next he hired a couple more. As business continued to grow, Clint made the deliberate decision to enter the residential market. He chose this path because, quite simply, he likes people. Clint has organized his business so he can continue to work in the field with his team and work closely with his clients to create their perfect space.
At its heart, Detailed Landscape is a family business. Clint’s dad, who’s been working in the landscaping industry since 1972, works with him now and has been key detailed Landscape’s success. Clint’s wife, Stacey, runs the office. Many staff members have been on the team for 14+ years, and Detailed Landscape’s first hire is still here, 20 years later.

Pay: $17.00 - $30.00 per hour
