Job Title - Export Coordinator

Report to - International Logistics Manager and Senior Logistics Coordinator

Department - Business Planning and Supply Chain

Location - 2500 San Miguelito Rd, Lompoc, CA 93436 (must be able to work onsite)

Job Description Summary

Imerys has an immediate opportunity for an Export Coordinator to support the business by handling all transportation and logistics aspects of international orders from our US plants to overseas customers as well as assisting team members.

• Assist team members using direct communication platforms with Plant Managers, CSR’s, drayage and ocean carriers to resolve shipment concerns
• Discuss with the Team Lead or Manager any unresolved issues or conflicts

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete export shipment process: booking, document preparation, tracking and tracing. May include drayage arrangement, coordinate internal depts. and vendors
• Book US export orders manually with ocean carriers via EDI or email
• Input booking details into to ERP system and keep updated with numerous changes
• Work closely with ocean carrier operations and drayage dispatch on EQ (container or chassis) issues
• Working knowledge of export documentation: SED/ITN, SI’s, shipment documents (CI, PL, etc from ERP and Ocean BL, Bank Draft, L/C)
• Work with Customer Service, Logistics, Shipping, Production to keep up with load schedule changes (Rolled bookings)
• Coordinator may have additional responsibilities in accordance with supporting the team that are deemed necessary by manager
• Coordinator will perform the job, assist the team, and fill in when needed.
• Work in a hybrid office environment, located in Lompoc, CA
• This position will report indirectly to the Senior Logistics Manager on site in Lompoc CA and directly to the International Logistics Manager at the Roswell, GA office.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
• 2 + years Ocean export experience with freight forwarder or large manufacturer, preferred
• Understanding of INCOTERMS and who is responsible for paying freight, preferred -
• Knowledge of/familiarity with ocean carrier lines, ACE, Inttra
• Freight forwarding experience, strong knowledge of export, intermodal ops
• SAP knowledge preferred
• 10% travel may be required - visit other office or plant locations
