We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager for our First Quality Baby Products facility located in Macon, GA.
The primary purpose of the role is being responsible for maintaining the building and grounds. Responsibilities also include operation and maintenance of utility systems plus management of contract services.
Primary responsibilities include:
· Ensure safe work practices are being followed and violations are corrected immediately.
· Manage all maintenance activities (mechanical & electrical) for assigned utility systems to minimize downtime and control costs.
· Assigns work and supervises hourly employees or contractors assigned to work.
· Document and implement preventative maintenance programs and track to identify process/machine improvements, program effectiveness.
· Comply with local, state and federal documentation and control requirements. · Responsible for operation and maintenance of building HVAC, Cooling Towers, Plant Compressed Air System, all fire Protection Systems and Site Security.
· Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
· Develop and document process characteristics for each utility process.
· Plan and implement a program for ongoing technical training for maintenance and operations personnel.
· Identify and scope facilities and utilities projects and lead system design and installation for them.
· Research and recommend quality and/or productivity improvements. · Directly responsible for the improvement of efficiencies of assigned utility systems.
· Act as technical resource in the development of plans for facility and utility expansion.
· Design/revise SOP’s relating to utilities/facilities activities and work with environmental group to prepare required documentation.
· Act as liaison with vendors for technical issues.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
· Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing industry
· Minimum of seven (7) years of Facility Maintenance experience
· requirements:
· Minimum of five (5) years in a position of progressive responsibility leading to a Manager with a manufacturing company
· Prior experience with a Preventative Maintenance Program.
· Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
· Knowledge of work order software package and spare parts inventory control. · Knowledge of maintenance of utilities and facilities.
· Knowledge of equipment installation, maintenance and construction methods and practices.
· Ability to identify machine, material and/or process improvements and implementation solutions.
· Ability to teach/train operation and maintenance personnel and write procedure/manuals.
