Job Summary:
The Facility Manager is responsible for managing all maintenance teams, overseeing all maintenance work, and assisting with the planning and administration of the maintenance department. This position requires excellent interpersonal and management skills and extensive knowledge of the industry's systems, legal requirements, equipment, and installations involved. The ability to deliver on the tasks listed below will be necessary to be successful as the Facility Manager at Coast-AL.

  • Experience with tasks that pertain to, but are not limited to: plumbing, replacement of sinks and toilets, basic framing and carpentry, cleaning, property maintenance basic electrical and HVAC with the ability to assess all maintenance problems and resolve with accurate solutions
  • Delegating tasks that are in relation to all maintenance-related work across Coast-AL properties
  • Completing quality control of all work performed by the maintenance team and ensure all problems are addressed and repaired in a timely manner
  • Ensuring all maintenance staff adhere to all company policies and procedures as well as industry standards
  • Scheduling maintenance team members and controlling costs of labor and overtime
  • Purchasing of maintenance supplies for all Coast-AL properties and inventory control
  • Planning and execution of ongoing preventative maintenance for all Coast-AL properties
  • Detail oriented with the capability of completing required paperwork related to all maintenance concerns
  • Responsible for the training, safety, and human relations needs of the maintenance team
  • Talent acquisition planning and performance management for all maintenance team

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a warm/hot environment and willingness to work weekend hours and some nights
  • Ability to multitask and take ownership of the different tasks that are pertinent to the maintenance department
  • Ability to effectively communicate with guests, peers, management, and ownership
  • Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for up to 8 consecutive hours, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Personal tools are a plus
  • Maintenance certifications are a plus
  • Salary- $60,000- $75,000
