ATEK, Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced
Facility Security Officer (FSO). The role is
part-time and eligible to work remotely. The sensitive nature of this position requires that the individual be a direct employee of the Company and possess an
active Top-Secret Clearance. This is a great supplemental/second income opportunity for a dedicated, and detail-oriented individual able to work without close supervision.
This position is REMOTE.
The FSO is responsible for all aspects of the Company’s Security Program and serves as the central focal point of contact for security matters. The FSO assures compliance with security regulations in accordance with Contract guidelines and advises departments regarding security regulations and procedures. The position processes employees for security clearance, protects classified information and routinely interacts with Government agencies on security matters.
Responsibilities:
- Consistently interpret, implement and maintain an effective security program that is compliant with Government policies and guidance.
- Develop and implement security plans and procedures, as well as maintain the oversight of existing processes. ((non-possessing facility))
- Process employees for initial investigation and reinvestigation as required for U.S. Government security clearances to include, tracking investigations, submitting requests to the customer, and having subsequent interface with customer security personnel.
- Supervise and train personnel in all aspects of security, personnel clearance processing, and visitor control.
- Interface with government customer security representatives regarding ongoing compliance and periodic formal inspections, while maintaining an approved Security Program
- Conduct security pre-screen interviews.
- Conduct security briefings, debriefings, required training, and annual refresher briefings.
- Proactively conduct self-inspections of secure areas to ensure compliance with established security requirements and protocols, if required.
- Manage and maintain internal personnel security databases and employee security files.
- Responsible for operation and maintenance of security equipment, alarms, and access control system, as required.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience working as an FSO in support of U.S. Government classified programs.
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Active Top-Secret Clearance
- Knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and all Director of National Intelligence (DNI) security policies and Broad experience in all aspects of the security disciplines including personnel, physical, operations, industrial, communications, information, and information technology security
- Knowledge and experience with the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) Web Application, Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), e-QIP, preparing DD Form 254s, certification and accreditation, clearance passing and conducting briefings and debriefings.
- Understanding of U.S. Government industrial security regulations and directives
- Ability to implement and manage a comprehensive Security Program
- Ability to juggle competing demands and prioritize work in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently, as well as the ability to work as a part of a corporate team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A thorough understanding and use of IT equipment
- A thorough understanding and use of MS Office Suite
