Family Services is a non-profit organization that protects, heals and cares for children and families throughout Northeast Wisconsin. When traumatic situations occur, our staff is there to assist the individual or family with their journey of healing and recovery. Family Services cares for individuals who are isolated, abandoned or just need help developing the skills to live successfully.

Parent Connection, a comprehensive home visitation and child abuse prevention program, has an opening for a part-time Family Resource Specialist I working up to 20 hours a week, including two Saturday mornings a month. The Family Resource Specialist assesses/interviews pregnant women and families with infants at area hospitals (St. Elizabeth's, Theda Care Appleton, and Theda Care Neenah) or in home. The Family resource specialist will determine families strengths and needs to make connections to community resources.

Qualifications include a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Child Development, Communications, Marketing or related field or experience. Minimum experience for this position is one year working with families, child abuse and neglect prevention, maternal/child health or child development. Candidates must also have the ability to work with families with a diverse population in ways that are culturally competent, non-judgmental, supportive, and empowering. Ability to communicate effectively both orally is written is required. A Wisconsin driver's license, reliable transportation, maintaining required auto insurance coverage and acceptable driving record are also required.
