Charles City County Department of Social Services’ motto is “One Team, One Community, One Agency”. A small, rural agency, the county is bordered by New Kent County, Henrico County, James City County and Prince George County. The agency is comprised of three teams, Administrative, Benefits, and Family Services and fully staffed the agency has fourteen employees. This is the only human services agency located in the county.

All of the positions in Benefits and Family Services are generic and employees are responsible for completing training in their respective program areas. Employees must be flexible, adaptable to change, able to multi-task and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
