Job Description:

Lavender Hill Farm is looking for an outgoing customer experience enthusiast to assist with all aspects of our agritourism business. The primary focus of this entry level position is prioritizing the enhancement of visitor experience through basic hospitality activity, retail sales, executing tours, assisting with events and even some agriculture work. Our goal is to grow the customer relationship with our farm through education, environment, and execution. The ideal candidate for this position is a positive-minded, friendly, enthusiastic individual who can be the “face” of the farm – exceptional people skills are a must. We take pride in the excellence of service that we provide our guests.

Work Hours and Days:

This is a seasonal, entry-level position starting Mid May. Working hours ranging from 15 to full-time hours depending on the employees' goals and availability.

Job Responsibilities:

Tasks and job responsibilities will vary depending on the person and the time of year. *Currently, we are needing additional help in our retail areas so expect the majority of hours to be in the boutique. Some examples may include:

• Give guided tours of the farm
• Answering visitor questions and suggest experiences
• Engage in visitor education through in depth understanding of the farm, products, and events and activities
• Help with set up and tear down of events, concerts and activity sites
• Work in all areas of farm when needed including retail, field, events and tours.
• Outside work- rain or shine

Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Outgoing, motivated and positive
• Able to take direction and show initiative
• Eager and willing to assist wherever needed
• Willing and able to stand, lift, and bend to meet the physical demands of the job
• Comfortable engaging visitors and making suggestions while promoting the farm

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
