Jack & Jones are seeking an experienced Retail Buyer who can demonstrate a creative flair for buying clothing, who is analytical and commercial and who can liase with the Bestseller Sales and Brand Manager to conduct a trading and stock plan for our Jack & Jones head office team and store managers.

The position as Fashion Retail Buyer will be for our stores in Ireland and will begin mid-January 2023.

You will be required to attend buying expeditions and presentations both in Ireland and at the Bestseller Jack & Jones Head Quaters in Denmark. Travelling to Denamrk is a magnicicant opportunity to further your knowledge on the brand, network with the design and visual merchandising teams from Bestseller and learn new innovative concepts within the brand.

You will be responsible for direct contact with the Bestseller Brand & Sales manager for the allocation and selection of products, styles and quantities for each store based on the current market, anaylsis of product data and reporting of previous financial trade. You will work within the brand vision to meet commercial and visual strategies to maximise sales and profitability with customer satisfaction at the forefront of the buying agenda.

You will be required to liase with our Area Supoort Managers and Store Managers to strengthen and develop Jack & Jones position in the retail market. With these teams you will ensure that our products are presented visually and commerically in store to support your buying startegies so that the company can meet forecasted targets on non-financial and financial plans.

Personal Qualities & Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in the retail buying sector with records to prove your previous positions.
  • Creative flair towards Buying and Merchandising to enable support to Area & Store managers in order to deliver your buying visions in store.
  • Ability to forecast based on previous trade and the current market, problem solve and react to different retail environments, in order to increase profitability and sales within the company.
  • You must have a commercial mindset and the skills to transform strategic plans into actual sales initiatives alongside our Area Support Managers.
  • Excellent interspersonal, teamwork, communication, organisational skills with a high drive and winning mentality.
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable to the current agile retail market and general retail demands.
  • Full, Clean Driving License is required as travel is essential with this role.
