We are currently looking to hire a Business Developer for our Baker Tilly Digital Practice, which is focused on helping Federal agencies across DOD, Intelligence Community, and Federal Civilian Agencies transform their business by selecting, implementing, or optimizing an enterprise technology solution.

We are seeking candidates who are self-motivated, ambitious, and competitively driven to develop net-new clients, establish relationships with senior executives and drive partnerships with Oracle. A combination of prospecting, lead generation, facilitating sales cycles and management of the sales process through sales to service transition for opportunities won, will be expected. Successful candidates will be a brand ambassador for Baker Tilly, passionate about digital transformation in the Federal space and utilizing technology solutions to help drive mission outcomes, and someone who demonstrates a desire to be part of a developing business in which they will go the extra mile for the team’s success.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive identification of prospective clients for Oracle Cloud HCM, ERP, and SCM opportunities in the Federal space through high volume sales activities (calls, emails, social and networking), utilizing available tools within the firm when applicable.
  • Leverage creative and effective approaches to open doors with prospects, Oracle team members, and our prime contracting network.
  • Foster relationships within the ecosystem and develop brand awareness for Baker Tilly.
  • Facilitate the business development lifecycle from lead generation to close, collaborating closely with team members from the Digital team on various lifecycle activities.
  • Lead business development activities related to any of the Oracle Federal opportunities, including facilitating prospective client road mapping conversations, participating in solution demonstrations, and collaborating with our Digital members on development of necessary market research documentation and RFP responses.
  • Actively network internally and externally at community, Baker Tilly, and other sponsored activities to increase Baker Tilly brand awareness and our associated Digital offerings, to support our continued growth objectives.
  • Actively network and build relationships with prime contractors that could be used in pursuits.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of new and add-on opportunities, including keeping data current within the Baker Tilly CRM solution(s), to help with operations and forecasting related activities.
  • Participate in various Oracle practice marketing efforts including thought leadership, client showcasing, and events / conferences.
  • Invest in your professional development individually and through participation in firm wide learning and development programs.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of previous sales and account management experience, and a proven track record of driving net-new business development activity to close.
  • Demonstrated experience in opening the door at specific targets and prospects.
  • Experience tracking business development activity in Salesforce or other similar CRM systems.
  • Sales experience based on complex software sales, and expertise specifically in the Federal space.
  • Strong understanding of ERP technology.
  • Experience with a long, complex sales process (12+months) and deal sizes ranging from of $2,000,000-20,000,000
  • Experience in selling consulting-based solutions.
  • Experience in guiding clients and team members through the business development lifecycle.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize activities across a diverse set of expectations.
  • Demonstrated analytical, organization, interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills, and highly developed Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) required.
  • Must be a team player and able to effectively interact with team members at all levels of the firm, and excellent client and customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
  • Willing to work nontraditional business hours should the workload necessitate.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
