FedEx Contractor - Delivery Driver Position (TUCSON)

Contractor with FedEx Ground in Tucson, AZ has available Full Time position(s).

We contract with FedEx to provide "last mile" delivery of packages to residential and business customers in the Tucson area. Our Drivers wear a FedEx branded uniform and drive a FedEx branded vehicle but work for a locally owned and operated small business. We provide the uniforms and vehicles.

We're looking for professional and safety focused drivers who are willing to work hard and work as part of a team. We're looking for people who have Mental & Physical toughness, who we can count on to show up on their scheduled days ready to work.

This is a demanding job:

• 9-10 hour day on average (7am - 5pm), some days shorter and some require longer depending on delivery volume fluctuations
• Boxes can be bulky and heavy
• Delivering 5-6 days/week is physically challenging
• Tucson gets hot in summer

• Customer service is critical
• Safety is our #1 priority

Paid Training, weekly pay (W2) through Direct Deposit. Must be available to work 5 days a week with Saturday and Sunday. Opportunities to earn more on 6-day schedules and based on performance, and with experience and performance on the job.

***Candidate must meet the following requirements (no exceptions can be made) ***
* Must be 21 years of age

• Pass a DOT Physical
• Pass a drug test and be willing to take a random drug test at any time
• Pass a strict background check

* Clean Motor Vehicle Record over the last three years

• Preferred: 1-yr Commercial Driving (No CDL required) experience in past 3-years (Uber/Lyft can apply)
• Entry Level drivers welcome to apply - please indicate Entry Level in response
• Must be able to demonstrate excellent safety, attendance and reliability record in past positions
• Strong team player, positive attitude
• Must be willing to work up to 6 days/week during Peak Season
• Candidate will be e-verified
