ZACHRY is currently seeking an experienced Industrial Project Safety Facilitator (Medic) to work the night shift for new construction work at our Golden Pass LNG project located in Sabine Pass, TX

Position Summary:

The Safety Facilitator (Medic) is challenged to work closely in a productive manner with “Line Management”. The employee will provide medical support for site employees, respond to medical emergencies on site, complete medical documentation, and complete required incident investigation documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Prompt and regular attendance at work.
• Effectively follow all Zachry policies, procedures, guidelines, and chain of command.
• Maintain all required certifications according to company policy.
• Attendance at all Continuing Education (CE) courses as policy dictates.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and cooperative working relationship with all employees.
• Assess and treat any medical situation with appropriate techniques (resources and equipment) while maintaining the highest standard of patient care and professionalism according to current company standards.
• Follow medical care practices as documented in Zachry Protocols and mandated by the Medical Control Board. The scope of medical practice will be confined to medical practice as defined by the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) unless otherwise specified by directives or protocols from the Medical Director.
• Complete all documentation regarding employee care.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the equipment, its function, and use and report any malfunction or damage to equipment promptly in accordance with company policy.
• Maintain the Clinic in a clean, organized, and response-ready mode.
• Responsible for the safe handling of employees during loading and unloading and transport on stretchers.
• Function as Incident Commander

Qualification Highlights

• Must have High School Diploma
• Must have an EMT and/or Paramedic license.
• Must have 2+ years of heavy industrial and/or construction experience.
• Must be able to meet all physical requirements.
• Must be able to work at heights in excess of 300ft.
• Must have an understanding of OSHA 1904 Recordability Standards
• Basic skills (Outlook, Word) Intermediate (Excel)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have a clear MVR

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Zachry or Zachry ROF’ed employee.
• Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, INC.
• 2-5 years of 911 experience
• Understanding of OSHA 1904 Work Relatedness Standards
• Safety Experience
• Holds certification (training) in one or all the following: OSHA 10, OSHA 30, OSHA, Confined Space (competent person), Excavation (competent person), NCCER Field Safety, NCCER Safety Technology, and/or BCSP’s certification.

Reports to Position:

• This position does not have any direct reports.

Physical Requirements:

• The employee will be required to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting.
• Will talk and hear to communicate.
• Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools.
• May be required to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
• Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, work off platforms and man lifts, and may occasionally work out on an open structure using the appropriate fall protection requirements.
• Must have good visual acuity and depth perception.
• Must be able to work outside in the changing weather conditions including the heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind.
• Will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to a hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves, and leather work boots.
• Able to handle a stressful environment.
• Able to don a harness to respond to elevated emergencies, weights limit of fall protection is 310lbs.
