We here at Kenmare are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer for a client we have in Novi, MI. Direct Hire. Travel/Work-life balance in the field.

Ideal candidate will have Mechanical Aptitude/Troubleshooting and Installation familiarity. Allen Bradley/Siemens exp. also a bonus, but not a must.

Field Service Technician

Sales Planning

· Sales plan implementation to achieve business objectives

· Participate in Service Outreach program to generate additional service revenue

· Develop and implement service growth strategies, example: machine inspection program

Customer service

· Interface with sales, sales and distribution, and engineering to resolve any open issues.

· Install, demonstrate and repair equipment at customers facilities

· Complete service report to document service related issues

· Provide training for our customers pertaining to equipment purchased f

· Maintain after hours customer support

Machin Installations

· Machine final acceptance

- Machine qualification per contract

- Customer training per contract

- Complete service report and all related documentation

Other Responsibilities

· Shop floor support as needed

Continuous improvements

· Quality

- Take process ownership in quality system

- Maintain service procedure and ensure compliance

- Ensure all activities of the department comply with legal demands and ethical standards

Meeting schedule

· Participate in weekly service meetings

· Participate in wrap up review meetings

Minimum Qualifications

· Good communication skills

· Good organizational skills

· Product, Industry and Technical Expertise

· Product and process knowledge

· Print/drawing interpretation and reading skills

· Basic electrical and pneumatic knowledge

· Able to use PLC programming for troubleshooting and make minor changes to logic- Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.

· High School Diploma / GED / Related experience

· Bachelor’s degree preferred.
