Job Description
The selected candidate will support the repair, overhaul, production and integration of several Air Traffic Control Systems including the AN/SPN-35C, AN/SPN-41B, AN/FRN-49 , AN/SPN-50, and AN/SYY-1. He/she will be familiar with technical documentation associated with these systems such as technical manuals, fabrication drawings, and Installation Control Drawings. Tasking includes but not limited to the following:

• Serve as a functional Work Lead for the repair overhaul, production and integration of various ATC systems
• Prepare for and attend/participate in meetings with the customer and BAE Systems Managers to review schedules and status
• Consult with Program and Project Managers for personnel resource allocations to meet all system delivery deadlines and report status of all work in progress
• Assist in the creation of project assignments containing task requirements, estimates, schedules, charge numbers
• Track ATC Systems production and repair tasks to stay on schedule
• Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.
• Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications
• Generate, review and or update work instructions, field change Instructions and production drawings as required
• Review System Trouble Report Statuses and expedite resolutions to include submittal of closure forms

The schedules for these events are dynamic and resources needed to support them are shared with other project work. The selected candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills for interaction with the customer, direct reports, internal functional organizations and other managers and project leads.

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in St. Mary's County, near to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience in the maintenance/management of military electronic systems OR High School diploma and 9 years experience with minimum of three years in the maintenance/management of military electronic systems
• Working knowledge of all production and integration requirements for Air Traffic Control Systems
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• History of leading by example of safe practices and fostering a safe work environment
• Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Experience in leading a dynamic production and integration team with multiple ongoing projects and deadlines
• Knowledge and background in fiber optic cable production
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance processes and Safety Health and Environment considerations
• Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM), and Make or Buy Decisions
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project
