Field Service Engineer (Level 2) – 4 Day Week

Typetec is Ireland’s leading professional IT cloud and managed service company. Primarily, Typetec provides solutions and services across the four key areas of information protection, people protection, productivity, and performance.

We are actively looking to grow our managed services support team and currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer (Level 2). Typetec is a remote-first company.

This will suit a person who wants to develop a career and work in a dynamic environment with future opportunities. You will have the benefit of working closely with teammates on a day-to-day basis and gain real world experience in a rapid growing forward-thinking company.

You will play a role in our current 4-Day Week company trial that started in February 2022 and driving its success.

If you are interested in developing your skills in cloud technology and gaining huge exposure to new technologies from a wide customer base our position involves:

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day support of our clients’ IT requirements, on site and remotely.
  • Monitor and quickly respond to incoming support requests by phone or email.
  • Clearly communicate issue resolution process to the customer or end user including next steps to be taken, time frame, and ownership of the issue.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with clients by ensuring that expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Liaise with 3rd Party Vendor support on Hardware and Software Issues.
  • Education and certification across multiple partners.
  • Attend site to resolve issues or complete maintenance days.

Requirements

  • At least 2+ years’ experience within an IT Managed Services company.
  • Proven track record of onsite and field experience a distinct advantage.
  • Full clean driver’s license.
  • Microsoft 365, SharePoint & Azure experience desired.
  • 3rd level degree in an IT or engineering-related discipline.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and oral with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to problem solve, see issues through to their resolution and work to prevent reoccurrence.
  • An avid interest in technology.
  • Enthusiasm for working in a team environment where everybody needs to ‘dig in' and where exposure to new areas and technologies is constant.

  • Base Salary: €42k DOE

  • Holidays: Starting 20 Days (up to 24 days on term of service). Good Friday & Christmas Eve are company days off.

To be considered for this position applicants must be eligible to work and reside in Ireland (holder of an EC Passport or a Current Stamp 4 Visa).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: €40,000.00-€45,000.00 per year
