Cardiac Services was founded in Belfast in 1969 and is at the forefront of supplying and supporting diagnostic and measurement equipment in the Irish and UK Healthcare markets. The Company's focus is mainly on ICU, Coronary Care, Operating Theatre and Maternity departments. The business comprises a number of Divisions with Pre-hospital specialising in the supply of AEDs, training devices and primary care/GP supplies. The Hospital Division is mainly focused on Patient Monitoring, Cardiology, Surgical Scopes, Clinical Information Systems and Fetal monitoring. The Service division provides support for products supplied by several sister companies in the SISK Healthcare group as well as those supplied by Cardiac Services.

The Role
As a member of the Cardiac Services Clinical Engineering Team the successful candidate will be engaged on a project involving the servicing and updating of a specific range of devices located in Hospitals and Clinics located mainly in the Connaught, Munster and Midland regions.

Key Outcomes

• Working under the direction of the Clinical Field Service team Leader they will be engaged with the updating of designated devices in hospitals and clinics

• Training will be provided in-house to upskill the Technician to complete the designated tasks.

• Work undertaken by technicians must comply with the relevant Company Quality procedure relating to that service or activity.

• Comply with all relevant protocols associated with Navision, our group wide ERP and Service management system.

• Liaise with customer support administration on a regular basis. Timely submission of electronic service reports and associated documentation for further processing and invoicing.

Key Skills & Experiences

• Qualifications: Successful candidate is likely to have a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude with related experience eg. Experience with electrical installation or domestic appliance repair. However, candidate who have an NFQ Level 6 qualification (or equivalent experience) in Clinical engineering, Electronic servicing, Physics, or related discipline will have a distinct advantage

• Minimum 1 -2 years’ experience.

• Full driver’s license. (Company transport will be provided)

• Whilst not essential, a formal qualification or at least demonstrable aptitude for IT and networking would be an advantage.

• Strong interpersonal skills: Customer focused with good communication skills – written and oral.

• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Device specific training will be provided along with continued support and coaching from management and colleagues within the Clinical engineering team.
