Field Service Technician | Indianapolis
Seeking a Field Service Technician with a proven track record of servicing complex medical equipment. This is a full-time, direct-hire role based in the Indianapolis area.
With over 25 years of experience in the medical equipment field, our client offers a full line of service on all types of Histology, Pathology, and general lab equipment. They are looking for a Field Service Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and service for their clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Travel to provide technical service and support on laboratory equipment with the objective of minimizing customer downtime
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair histology, pathology, and general lab equipment onsite at the clients’ locations
- Perform quality inspection and preventative maintenance
- Evaluate client needs for additional service opportunities
- Assist customers with issues and/or questions as needed
Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years working experience in the repair of medical equipment/devices
- Ability to travel to multiple locations, both within and outside of the Indianapolis area (must have valid driver's license and excellent driving record)
- Ability to effectively communicate technical advice face to face, by phone, and in writing
- Ability to troubleshoot, align, and repair equipment; carry out instructions in written, diagram, and verbal forms; write service reports, trip reports, instructions, and technical write-ups
- Experience using software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, etc.
- Must be vaccinated or willing to get vaccinated
