About the Role:

In this position you will be an integral part of leading a transformation of O-I and the glass industry through innovative, sustainable, and disruptive new technologies. The Finance & Administration Leader will have the exciting opportunity to lead the finance function for O-I’s newest glass container manufacturing facility enabled by MAGMA technology in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Will be responsible for executing financial, accounting, and internal controls of plant operations to drive cost performance and profitability, manage financial statements and meet reporting and forecasting requirements. Will oversee the outsourcing of warehouse operations, manage the procurement and management of plant materials, including items such as raw materials and carton dunnage. This position will also be a critical teammate in developing and executing a new operating model to deliver safety, quality and profitability that can be replicated in future operations. Will be working in a cross-functional team in partnership with plant leadership, closely linked with all plant teammates and outsourced services to support world class development and performance.


Qualifications


About You:

  • You’re a good communicator with strong ability to be proactive and show initiative – building and driving completely new, transformational solutions for the plant; hands-on approach to drive and execute transformational change; challenging the status quo.

  • You have knowledge in finance & accounting processes, activities, responsibilities, rules & regulations

  • Experience in managing overall finance activities and practices in a manufacturing facility while maintaining compliance with global initiatives and standards

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant area for finance, accounting, or similar educational field / work experience

  • 10+ years’ work experience in finance for manufacturing

  • Experience working with SAP and Hyperion

  • Experience in greenfield, business expansion, innovation and/or fluid business environment

  • You understand the complexity of working in a global matrix environment

  • Love glass and care about sustainability and the planet

  • You're a good team player

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 35% Domestic and international travel until start-up of factory in 2024 and up to 10% thereafter.
