About the Role
We are growing our Finance Operations (FinOps) and CFO Services team to help small and medium businesses manage their reporting, cash flow, and business operations. In this role, you will build on the work done by Outmin’s accounting and bookkeeping team to provide a full finance function to our growing portfolio of diverse clients. We provide everything in-house finance teams do, from chasing money and supplier payments, management account presentations, and KPI reporting, to raising finance and strategic mapping. You will work closely with experienced finance professionals and gain experience and expertise in growing and running small businesses. What You'll Do
- Managing client cash flow in collaboration with AP, AR, and FinOps
- Review of month-end accounts prepared by the accounting team
- Preparation of management packs and attendance at management/board meetings
- Annual budgeting and planning
- Cash Flow forecasting
- Business analysis, profitability analysis, KPI identification, and presentation
- Identify opportunities to make clients' processes effective and efficient
- Liaise with the product and software development teams to optimize Outmin workflow on an ongoing basis
What We’re Looking For
Required
Partly or newly qualified accounting experience working in a small to medium-sized business finance environment- Experience in managing cash in SMB
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- A methodical, diligent, and organized approach to accounting and finance records (revenue recognition sheets, Board Packs, weekly reports, etc)
- Excellent communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams
- Organization and prioritization skills as well as the ability to meet deadlines
- Experience in modern accounting and finance tools and software (reporting, forecasting, invoicing, and cash collection)
- Comfortable using Google Suite, Slack, HubSpot, etc
Nice to Have
- Prior experience working in a startup environment
- Demonstrate knowledge of how software has changed the accounting and finance landscape
