CREGG Recruitment are currently recruiting for a qualified/part-qualified accountant to join our client based in Kilkenny. The successful candidate will work alongside the current Accountant.

• Primary tasks to include:
• Annual Financial Statements Process (Dec Year End) working on information requests all year round, with a ramp up in activity from November, right through until March of the following year
• Month End Process
• Journal preparation
• Balance Sheet Ledger balances reconciliations
• Patient Income reconciliation
• Secondment invoicing
• Payroll file generation and upload to Ledger
• Balancing of Bank to Ledger
• Other Analytical work (e.g. Aged Analysis/Reconciliation of various Reports to GL)
• Cash-flow requirements (weekly requirements sent a week in advance) to HSE Corporate treasury
• Preparation/Updating SOP’s
• Freedom of Information requests
• Additional tasks as outlined

• Any other tasks as directed by the Accountant/Regional General Manager.

– Soft skills

o The candidate should have strong skills in Microsoft Excel (Proficiency in working with pivot tables, v lookup and general preparation of formulised spreadsheets)

o They should also be comfortable working on their own initiative, and/or as part of a team.

o Excellent communication skills

o Ability to create efficiencies in current processes

• Proactive in resolving issues with a can-do attitude
