Financial Analyst

American Modern Insurance Group is recruiting for a Financial Analyst to join our team! This role will support the AVP, Corporate Finance by ensuring timely and accurate financial data is reflected in capital models utilized both internally and externally. The analyst will provide support for all data submissions and other communications as required and/or requested by regulators and rating agencies.

This position is hybrid and will be in the office 2-3 days a week. Our corporate office is located in Amelia, Ohio. Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial data and templates to be used in all capital modeling analyses; Includes analyses run internally and by non-AMIG parties (e.g., IRM or RIC)
• Support communications and submissions to regulatory entities
• Assist in monitoring of financial performance of each AMIG legal entity
• Support regular updates to complete financial projections for each AMIG legal entity
• Provide data as required by key rating agencies (e.g., AM Best)
• Maintain documentation on regulator-required capital metrics and other key financial ratios for each legal entity
• Support capital planning process with respect to dividends

WE EXPECT

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience, required. CPA preferred
• 5 or more years of transactional accounting experience within the insurance industry.
• Proven track record of Process Optimization and/or system implementation and project experience
• Experience with Digital security and digital payments is a plus
• Process mindset – leadership experience in process improvement projects; exposure to process improvement tools, techniques, and best practices
• Knowledge of current banking technology and electronic funding processes
