The Financial Coordinator is primarily responsible for oversight and support of the charge processes. The coordinator s responsibilities may include processing both the Department of Surgery and physician charges for inpatient, outpatient, and recurring accounts for all payers. The coordinator will provide support for obtaining authorizations as necessary for their departments. The position is also responsible for evaluating process related issues which impact the timely charging of services within the departments they support, and working with department staff, IT, Charge Integrity et al to resolve. The position is responsible for ongoing review, analysis and resolution of accounts that are not billing in a timely manner. The coordinator also handles ad-hoc projects and items involving the overall revenue cycle of the Department of Surgery. The representative should also strive to achieve best practice standards for key performance measures.

• This is a remote/hybrid opportunity with 3 days required onsite and 2 days remote per week.

Job Duties:

• Completes weekly and/or monthly financial reports and data requests as requested
• Demonstrates flexibility in response to unexpected changes in work volume and staffing
• Ensures physicians credentialing is complete and accurate for all insurance panels; keeps updated list and distributes to appropriate staff.
• Enters patient information into billing system in an accurate and timely manner
• Exhibits proper time management without supervision
• Maintains accurate and up-to-date knowledge of regulatory environment related to Medicare/Medicaid, managed care, and commercial insurance reimbursement. Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with all relevant agencies
• Obtain pre-certifications from insurance companies for patient surgical procedures
• 95% Accuracy rating of data entered into IDX
• Addresses all Coding Tes Edits within 24 hours
• Billing entered within 72 hours of receipt of super-bills
• Completes all insurance pre certification for patient surgical procedures within 48 hours of scheduled procedure

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Training in Advanced Data System Billing System
• Experience with third Party Payor Billing preferable
• 5 years coding experience preferred

Hours:

• Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm
