5%Designs and implements fiscal best practices and internal controls in conjunction with Finance Manager; proposes and implements policies, procedures and practices for financial management and reporting; ensures adherence to internal controls and compliance with established policies and procedures;

5%Oversees the annual asset audit for the department

40% DepartmentReviews and analyzes month-end and year-end financial statements;

Analyzes departmental accounts and exercises control over funds; maintains fiscal records; reviews compiled reports; reviews and monitors COM reconciliation checklists

Reviews staff payroll activities and initiates administrative changes for correct alloctions in accordance with budget/function

Reviews faculty/physcian payroll activities and initiates administrative changes in accordance with CART

Reviews and approves moderately complex financial transactions (ie journal entries and fund transfers)

Responsible for maintaining earnings budgets and corrections to activity;

Provides financial assistance to the Finance Manager related to Pathology operations

Shares in department approval for Purchasing and Travel;

Serves as mentor to team members and provides team backup coverage as needed

40% Practice PlanMonitors practice plan revenue and expense allocation

Reviews the monthly general ledger; prepare complex journal entries required for accrual accounting;

Responsible for maintaining Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable accounts

Reviews staff payroll activities and initiates administrative changes for correct alloctions in accordane with budget/function

Reviews faculty/physcian payroll activities and initiates administrative changes in accordance with CART

reviews compiled reports and internal controls; assist in the monitoring of practice plan budget and provides special reports/analysis as required.

10% Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
