An independent financial services company in Ireland with offices worldwide are seeking a Financial Services Manager to join their team in Cork.

About Your New Job

  • Preparing and reviewing financial statements for investment funds and other financial services entities in accordance with US GAAP IFRS, and other local GAAPs
  • Managing the financial reporting process on behalf of large multi-national clients, acting as liaison with various internal and external parties, including auditors, administrators and investment managers
  • Working under challenging deadlines and taking ownership for completing work within specified timeframes
  • Assisting senior management team and partners on ad hoc financial reporting and regulatory advisory projects
  • Researching technical queries on accounting standards
  • Reviewing and providing critical feedback to team members to ensure the completion of work in accordance with agreed timelines
  • Using MS Word and MS Excel to create, edit and review documents for the production of financial statements for external distribution
  • Reviewing documentation for consistency of language in financial statements and accompanying notes, ensuring uniformity in format and language as well as accuracy of spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Verifying accuracy of computations on report statements and footnotes
  • Delegating appropriately to team members and ensuring effective communication throughout the process

What Skills You Need

  • ACA/ACCA qualified with strong technical knowledge of accounting standards
  • 5+ years of financial reporting and/or audit experience for investment funds
  • Relevant experience working in Financial Services fund environment
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
