The practices we serve depend on us to guide them as they plan for the future. As a result, our company is growing and changing! Our Client-Facing Business Strategy Division is in need of an experienced Veterinary FINANCIAL Consultant to help serve our clients as a Practice Strategist.

This is a fully remote part-time opening - and will be forever! DVM Elite is a 100% virtual company so you get to work from home permanently, with no regular travel required.

The Profitability Strategist will:

• Evaluate the needs of practices in your portfolio to determine needs and create action plans.
• Assist in determining how to apply financial strategies in day-to-day practice life
• Share knowledge and insight gained throughout your professional experience.
• Help innovate and plan for the future by sharing ideas that will enhance how we support clients even further.
• Work collaboratively with a team made up of truly great people, passionate about supporting the practices we serve!

What You Should Bring To The Team

This role is perfect for anyone interested in using the knowledge and experience they have gained working in veterinary practice on the financial side to serve other practices at a new level.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

Education & Experience:

• B.S. Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of leadership or consultative experience working with a veterinary practice that is familiar with the operational client/patient flow, financial and KPI accountability, strategic planning, and management of employees.
• Experience in small, privately owned practices is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail are required.
• Must be a curious, lifelong learner with a growth mindset and an interest in continuous improvement.
• A highly collaborative, servant leadership mindset.
• The ability to work well independently with minimal supervision.

Work Space & Technical Requirements

Since we are a fully remote company, it goes without saying that you should have an above-average level of technical proficiency! You will need . . .

• A high-speed internet connection and either a Windows or MAC operating system.
• A workspace set up to help you do your best, whatever that setup may mean for you. Video meetings and phone calls are a regular part of our environment so your set-up should be conducive to this.
• The ability to create spreadsheets, professional-quality documents, and presentations for use internally and with clients. Experience creating and maintaining spreadsheets and formulas for data analysis.
• Experience with these or similar applications: Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Mail, Calendar, Meets, etc.); Zulip, HubSpot, Trello, Zoom, BambooHR, Time Doctor

Hours & Availability

Part-time. In general, you should be available during regular business hours in the Central and Eastern time zones.

Location Requirements

This role is open to candidates authorized to work in the United States and whose permanent address is in one of the states DVM Elite is currently registered to hire from. These states include: AZ, CA, FL, GA, IL, MI, NC, PA, SC, TX, WI. Unfortunately, if your permanent residence is not in one of these states, we are not able to consider you for an opening.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation to commensurate with experience. Paid time off, a retirement savings plan with company match, paid holidays, celebration/personal days, volunteer time off and bonus opportunities are available for eligible employees. New benefits offerings will soon be available as well! At the present time, DVM Elite does not offer health benefits.
