GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the Fiscal Grant Manager will be responsible for financial reporting, monitoring budget to actual results and accounting for all financial-related activities of several Urban Strategies programs, including a not for profit entity. This position will oversee all financial activities in a responsible manner and in accordance with applicable regulations and organizational policies and procedures.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Finance/Coordination
- Work closely with the Community Development Executive Directors to ensure timely and accurate accounting of all programs
- Provide monthly Financial Statements to the Director of Finance
- Prepare monthly statements of revenues and expenditures, including assisting with federal financial and cash transaction reporting (quarterly and annually)
- Monitor Internal Controls and Fiscal/Accounting Policies & Procedures.
Financial Support and Management
- Oversee the preparation of grant budgets and any budget revisions.
- Monitor and analyze budgets
- Prepare reports and process grant close outs.
- Analyze the flow and sources of funds.
EXPERIENCE and/or REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED
Education: bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Experience: Minimum of five years’ experience working in fiscal management/government regulations.
- Competencies:
o Professional: Communication, Time Management, Prioritizing, Interpersonal Relations,
Attention to Details
o Technical: Administration, Budgeting, Accounting Principles, Government Regulations
o Organizational: Leadership, Teamwork, Community Service
- Skills: Advance knowledge of Excel, knowledge of Sage Intacct preferable
All employees must pass a mandatory criminal background check upon hire and every five years thereafter.
Initial health exam and initial TB test every five years and annual TB questionnaire, immunizations including Hepatitis B or sign waiver.
