Stark Pavement Corporation is looking for a full-time mechanic.

Position summary: Under the direction of the Shop Manager you will be responsible for performing various service operations by inspecting, maintaining and repairing company Fleet vehicles and Equipment.

Role and Responsibilities Perform all aspects of DOT inspections, PM services and general repairs. Fleet & Equipment maintenance (Quad Axle Dump Trucks, Cat Dozers, Excavators, Skid Loaders, Compactors, ect).

Maintain vehicle and equipment functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components. Complete repairs and routine tasks efficiently, correctly and safely. Keep shop and work area clean and safe. Complete all required paperwork documentation. Comply with all site-specific rules, procedures, and duties. The ability to work 1st & 2nd shift.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record (Class A CDL preferred).Required to have own tools up to ½ drive (some tools supplied by the shop) Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and perform activities such as pulling, bending, standing, reaching.

Preferred Skills

High School diploma, vocational training, certification form an accreditation organization, or combination of schooling and relevant work experience. Strong technical understanding, attention to detail, and thoroughness.

Prior experience documenting repairs.

Salary: $60,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year DOE

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
