US Marine Corps Team at Mess Hall 227
Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Our Mess Hall 227 location at Camp Lejeune is aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune Installation. The USMC's mission is to recruit, train, sustain, and deploy scalable, expeditionary forces worldwide to accomplish special operations To accomplish that, they equip and train Marines to succeed in austere conditions against a wide range of adversaries. Mess Hall 227 feeds approximately 12,000 meals per week. Mess Hall 227 Unit is located at 227 D Street, Camp Lejuene N.C. 28546

Responsibilities include:
Oversee the food service program.- FOH & BOH
- Manage a team of 60 Sodexo and 40 subcontracted employees (included FOH and BOH)
- Some weekends and holidays will be required. Managers rotate.
The successful candidate will be:
- have a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
- have basic culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
- have the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
- be able to demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
- prefer ServSafe certification

- Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations
- Establishes and maintains a safe work environment
- Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards
- Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory
- Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
