As a Food Server, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests. You will take orders, deliver food and beverages, and assist with maintaining a clean and organized dining area. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a friendly and outgoing personality, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests, present menus, and provide detailed information on food and beverage options.
• Take customer orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff in a timely manner.
• Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring accuracy and adherence to presentation standards.
• Offer suggestions and provide recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
• Anticipate and address guest needs, including refilling beverages, condiments, and utensils as required.
• Respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints, resolving issues promptly and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including setting and resetting tables as needed.
• Collaborate with other restaurant staff to ensure efficient service and smooth operation.
• Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe dining environment.
• Upsell additional items, such as desserts or specialty drinks, to increase revenue.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and coordinated service.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a food server or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to provide outstanding customer service with a friendly and approachable manner.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage menus, including allergen information.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and delivering food and beverages.
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other staff members.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays of food or beverages as needed.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Shift:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Jersey City, NJ 07302: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Restaurant experience (Preferred)
