Job description
As a Food Server, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests. You will take orders, deliver food and beverages, and assist with maintaining a clean and organized dining area. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a friendly and outgoing personality, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests, present menus, and provide detailed information on food and beverage options.
- Take customer orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff in a timely manner.
- Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring accuracy and adherence to presentation standards.
- Offer suggestions and provide recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
- Anticipate and address guest needs, including refilling beverages, condiments, and utensils as required.
- Respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints, resolving issues promptly and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including setting and resetting tables as needed.
- Collaborate with other restaurant staff to ensure efficient service and smooth operation.
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe dining environment.
- Upsell additional items, such as desserts or specialty drinks, to increase revenue.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and coordinated service.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a food server or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service with a friendly and approachable manner.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage menus, including allergen information.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and delivering food and beverages.
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other staff members.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays of food or beverages as needed.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations is a plus.
