Job Position: Food Service Lead for Lancaster Career & Technical Center Mount Joy Campus

Location: Mount Joy, PA 17552

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

Shift: Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 1:00PM

Description: Food Service Lead needed for LCTC Mount Joy Campus The primary role of a Food Service Lead Aide is to assist in the kitchen in all facets of daily food preparation, serving and clean-up. Food handling safety and personal safety are critical in the roll of the Food Service Lead Aide position. This individual will step up in the absence of the manager. Direct and coordinate other food service employees to complete required everyday activities. Keep other food service employees informed about changes to everyday activities and tasks. Oversee food preparation, ensure proper quantity and quality of food prepared. Communicate important and relevant information to the Kitchen Manager and the Food Service Manager. Advise the Kitchen Manager, the Food Service Manager, and the Director of Food Service of any Food Service staff performance issues. Prepares fruits and/or vegetables for daily use, including but not limited to, washing, slicing, cupping and otherwise preparing according to kitchen standards. Make cold sandwiches and ensure enough for the day’s use. Assists in the preparation of any menu items as directed by the site supervisor. Serves meals on line during lunch shifts as directed by Site-Supervisor. Cleans work areas and ensures leftovers are properly put away for the next day’s use. Assists in wiping tables and chairs in cafeteria. Assists with sweeping and mopping floors. • Assists with wrapping hot sandwiches as directed by the site supervisor. Record and cashier student meals or a la carte items as needed. Complete preparation information on daily Production Record. May be required to carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work station, stove and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards. Completes necessary Professional Standards Training annually. Assists in removing trash.
