Job description
Primary Purpose:
Prepare and serve appropriate quantities of food to meet menu requirements. Maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and safety practices.
Education/Certification:
Texas Department of State Health Services-Food Handler Certification required or must obtain within 60 days of employment.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Ability to work at a fast pace for the duration of shift
- Ability to lift 30 lbs; pantry, freezer, cooler and chemical items
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and any and all items in the kitchen used for production in preparing, cooking, serving, cleaning
- Pleasant demeanor; ability to work with staff, parents, and children at all times during the shift
- Ability to work in a team environment
