Forklift Mechanic

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Forklift Mechanic [Heavy Duty] for a company based in Baytown, TX. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for maintaining and repairing large capacity forklifts such as Hyster, Taylor and Kalmar brands.

Pay Rate:
Starting pay $25.00 [negotiable depending on experience]

Schedule and Hours:
Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm

Forklift Mechanic [Heavy Duty]

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Forklift Mechanic must be proficient in Diesel systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair forklift brands such as Hyster, Taylor, Kalmar brands.
• Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks. Maintain a service van and its inventory.
• Perform preventative, routine and emergency maintenance of forklifts.
• Troubleshoot forklift problems [brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, potential problems]
• Ability to work diesel Forklifts heavy duty.
• Replace broken or defective parts, and order replacement parts for repairs.
• Make all necessary adjustments for effective and safe operation.
• Cleaning of equipment and other areas as required.
• Maintain an organized and neat work area.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Diesel engine repair [ 1 year experience or more – Required]
• Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of hydraulics
• Previous lift truck repair, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred.
