Warehouse Associate – Ocean Township, NJ

Here is what you can expect in your role of Warehouse Associate – also known as responsibilities:

• Receive material from our suppliers, ensure it’s the right product and properly document its arrival in our warehouse
• Work with our Operations Manager to organize our products within the warehouse on the appropriate racks so it is stored in the most efficient way. This helps us be more effective in fulfilling customer orders
• Based on pick tickets, pull, and organize material that needs to be transferred to our satellite locations or is going to be picked up by our customers
• Ensure that shipments are properly documented so our Purchasing Department can maintain the right levels of inventory
• Operate a forklift/ stand-up reach lift to accomplish many of the tasks above (30% of your day)

What You Bring to the Table:

• Ability to work 40 hours per week/5 days - 7:30am-4:00pm (alternating Saturday required)
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Forklift driving experience, certification preferred
• Warehouse Associate and Operations experience
• Retail customer service experience preferred
• This position is fast-paced and can at times be physically demanding. Should have the ability to lift at least 80 lbs, be on your feet up to 8 hours per day and periodically work beyond the scheduled shift
• Ability to consistently meet productivity goals and standards following established warehouse procedures
• Help out with general building maintenance to ensure we maintain a clean warehouse
• Basic math and comprehension skills
• Computer experience
• A sense of urgency and strong work ethic
• A friendly team-focused approach
• Good communication and listening skills to develop trusting relationships with co-workers
• The ability to stay positive and calm in a fast-paced environment
