POSITION OVERVIEW
Under direct general supervision, positively operates under a total task, team-based approach to move raw, packaging, and finished goods to, from and within a department using mechanical and manual means. This position will require flexibility with shift and work day assignments to support business need requirements and reduce Overtime. (For example, one potential work schedule might be Sunday – Thursday.)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Making product changeovers.
- Packaging size changes, and minor repairs and adjustments on equipment;
- Operating, processing, filling and packaging production line equipment.
- Performing consistent quality inspection of products and packs and pelletizes finished goods, all in a safe manner.
- Completing all related paperwork accurately.
- Using a computerized inventory management system to select orders and input data.
- Maintaining accurate inventories.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Under direct general supervision, positively operates under a total task, team-based approach to move raw, packaging, and finished goods to, from and within a department using mechanical and manual means.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and on an occasional basis move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Results-focused with ability to self-motivate and work under limited supervision.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively and accurately in a high volume, fast paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and build relationships in a diverse team-based environment.
- Demonstrated ability to use logical thinking and independent judgment to solve problems.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven mechanical ability.
- Fork lift experience.
- Demonstrated ability to read, navigate and interpret multiple computerized data collection, data entry and inventory control systems.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
