Paydayz Staffing is accepting applications for a Sit-Down Forklift Driver/Material Handler for a tractor company in the Edgerton area. This position will be for a is responsible for operating a sit-down forklift to transport, handle, and store materials within a warehouse or industrial setting.

Job Duties:

• Forklift Operation: Safely operate a sit-down forklift to load, unload, and transport materials to designated locations within the facility. This includes stacking and unstacking goods, moving pallets, and maneuvering through narrow aisles or tight spaces.
• Material Handling: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against shipping documents or purchase orders. Properly identify, label, and store materials in the designated areas, ensuring accurate inventory control.
• Order Fulfillment: Retrieve materials and products based on pick lists or work orders, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer or internal requests. Prepare shipments by packaging items securely and applying appropriate labels.
• Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by conducting regular cycle counts, stock checks, and reconciliation activities. Report any discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring clear visibility while operating the forklift, and following established safety guidelines for loading, unloading, and stacking materials.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a sit-down forklift driver or material handler in a warehouse or industrial environment.
• Excellent knowledge of forklift operation techniques, including loading, unloading, and stacking procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, work orders, and pick lists.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management and reporting purposes.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to forklift operation.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, as required.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: Up to $19.50 per hour
