Franchise Systems Analyst - Freedom Boat Club
Job description
Freedom Franchise Systems (FFS) represents the franchise arm of Freedom Boat Club overall, providing a powerful and proven strategic lever in accelerating Freedom’s path to unrivaled scale. As franchisor, Freedom can leverage this franchising model (including brand stands manual / operating playbook, supporting processes and systems, and a network of high performing franchise operators) to expand Freedom’s presence and extend its market leadership. The Manager serves as a primary advisor and project manager to the VP & GM of Freedom Franchise Systems, coordinating and leading the most critical projects/programs that enable the success of FFS – including support of the existing network, acceleration of new franchisee identification / market prioritization, and implementation of new tools/systems/processes that benefit the entire network and our club members.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Overall – Serve as the primary advisor and project manager/coordinator to the VP & GM – FFS
- Excellence Program and Brand Standards Program Development – a key contributor to developing and continually enhancing the program to ensure success in conjunction with internal staff, external experts, and our Franchise network. Lead the Excellence Franchise Council, a representative group of Franchisees providing input into the scope and execution of the program.
- Training Curriculum Oversight – Coordinate continuous improvement and updates to FBCs award-winning new member training curriculum, including best boating practices to maintain safety and reduce risk, learning management systems to facilitate efficient deployment of training program to captains/trainers, and other opportunities that continue to position Freedom’s training program as best-in-class. Coordinate integration of Boat Class into Freedom’s operations, serving as program manager and brand advocate.
- Other Strategic Projects/Improvements – Serve as a general project manager to maintain a roster of all future improvement opportunities, periodically revisit prioritization of these opportunities, and lead the execution of the highest priority opportunities over time.
Experience / Skills Required
- Prior franchise, boat club / marine industry, and other transferrable experience is preferred
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with an ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively through established channels
- Proven analytical skills (ability to collect/synthesize data, summarize key findings succinctly, and communicate effectively to an executive audience)
- Strong project management skills, excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Well-organized, self-motivated, assertive, tenacious by nature, and flexible; willing to accept new responsibilities and grow within role as requiredProficiency in PC-based software including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Education
Requires a college degree (or equivalent work experience); prior experience in franchising and marine industry operations / boat clubs preferred.
Reporting Relationship, Hours of Operation, & Location
- This role will report directly in the VP & GM of Freedom Franchise Systems
- This position is a full time, salaried opportunity. Candidates can either reside in Freedom’s Venice, FL HQ office, parent company Brunswick’s Mettawa, IL HQ office, or working remotely if qualified and approved by management.
- Depending on candidate’s home location, this position may require some travel to meet with Freedom management, Franchisees, and other partners in order to accurately maintain current working knowledge of consumer needs.
