JOB OVERVIEW:

Responsible for management of all aspects of the Front Office and Valet Parking operations accordance with Resort Standards. Responsible for assisting the Director of Front Office with curating guest experiences. Directs, implements and maintains a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff.


REPORTS TO:
Director of Front Office; Front Office Manager


SUPERVISES:
Front Desk Agents, Bell staff, Valet and Door staff, PBX and Concierge staff.

All staff of the resort in the absence of department/division head and

Executive level management (MOD-Manager on Duty)


KEY RELATIONSHIPS:


Internal: Staff in Front Office, Bell/Door, Transportation, Concierge, Reservations, Front Office Management, Resort Assistant Managers, Sales & Catering, Food and Beverage, Accounting, Housekeeping, Executive Offices, Security and Engineering.


External: Resort guests, visitors, residents, Beach Club Members, vendors and suppliers


QUALIFICATIONS


Essential:

1. High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate, some college.
2. Previous experience in hospitality.
3. 2 years’ experience as a Front Desk Supervisor, preferably a 5-star style resort.
4. Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
5. Compute basic arithmetic.
6. Familiarity with yield management and cost controls.
7. Ability to:
  • perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
  • prioritize and organize.
  • be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
  • follow directions thoroughly.
  • understand guest’s service needs.
  • work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
  • work with minimal supervision.
  • maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent resort data.
  • ascertain departmental training needs and provide such training.
  • direct performance of staff and follow up with corrections when needed.
8. Input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system.


Desirable:

1. Bachelor’s Degree
2. Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish/Russian/Portuguese.
3. Certification in CPR.
4. Previous supervisory experience, preferably in a 5 Star Resort
5. Ability to suggestively sell.
6. Previous guest relations training/experience.
