Patient Representative (Radiation Oncology)
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5 pm

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and organize department conferences and meetings as requested.
  • Assimilates, coordinates and distributes the Radiologists, Residents and Technologists schedule on a weekly basis.
  • Assists Radiology Resident Coordinator with the resident survey, as well as serve as a backup and provide ancillary assistance when needed.
  • Provides assistance to the Director of Interventional Services as requested.
  • Composes and types correspondence, reports and other documentation as requested, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Updates forms, reference material, lectures and department manuals in an accurate and timely manner, as requested.
  • Duplicates, mails, and files letters, reports, and correspondence accurately, as needed.
  • Attends monthly radiology staff meetings. Documents and maintains minutes from said meetings.
  • Answers telephones promptly, by the third ring, and is courteous to the caller at all times.
  • Is able to adapt to changing work assignments and adjusts pace to accept additional responsibilities, as needed.
  • Coordinates hours and time off with co-workers and manager in order to provide continuous and effective coverage.
  • Receives patients, guests, and staff promptly and courteously upon arrival in the department.
  • On a daily basis, both in person and on the phone, consistently demonstrates patient confidentiality as required by MSMC policy.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and proper use of systems programs, and is able order supplies and run reports as requested.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred. Must have extensive knowledge of computers, calculators and general office equipment.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in clerical related duties. **

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
