JOB DESCRIPTION

SimoTech require a number of Automation Engineers for a front line support team. This team will support an exciting greenfield Biotechnology project based in Ireland. These candidates will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience of supporting manufacturing/IS systems. The successful candidate shall join a team which provides 24-hour front-line support cover. This role will provide significant opportunity to work with the latest technology on a state-of-the-art client site.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide real-time front line support to BioPharma manufacturing/IS systems.
• Maintain automated systems, performing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks for automation systems.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Demonstrate technical and interpersonal skills.
• Augment programming code for manufacturing equipment.
• Prepare and present structured, comprehensive, detailed written reports.
• Must have demonstrated experience in the delivery and management of Automation systems in addition to a working knowledge of GAMP software development lifecycle, ANSI/ISA-S88 industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or the Life Sciences.
• Previous DCS or PLC/SCADA experience, preferably DeltaV or Siemens.
• Strong knowledge of S-88 Batch standard.
• Good understanding of GAMP.
• Commissioning and start up support experience in a Pharma environment.
