Homestead Village is seeking a Full Time Maintenance/Renovations Technician to join our team! This position is Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm & includes a weekend rotation. We are seeking individuals who have a minimum of 5 years of professional construction/general contracting experience, ability to draw accurate sketches to communicate the specifications along with accurate measurements & calculations for projects. Must have a current state issued Driver's License within good standing.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of professional construction/general contracting experience
- Ability to draw accurate sketches to communicate the specifications for projects
- Ability to take accurate measurements and calculations.
- Responsible for scheduling work, making sure all parties that are affected are informed ahead of time and through the entire process to completion.
- Thorough understanding of the correct and safe operation of all related tools and equipment.
- Make sure all assigned tools and equipment are kept clean and in good working condition, this includes vehicles.
- Perform assigned preventative maintenance and work orders in a timely professional manner
- Provide good customer service
- Follow OSHA safety standards
- Have a current state issued Driver’s License.
Responsibilities (the following is an overview of the responsibilities of the position and should not be considered all inclusive):
- Responsible for scheduling personal daily workload and insuring work is completed on time and at acceptable workmanship standards.
- Collaborate with other departments and/or outside contractors concerning work orders, prints, and sketches to understand the structure/projects that need to be built or repaired.
- Basic understanding of local and national building codes.
- perform all aspects of the construction trade including installation of doors, windows, trim, drywall, tile, and flooring.
- Framing and finish carpentry with metal and wood studs, finish trim, drywall hanging and repair, ceramic tile, and flooring.
- Painting, basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC and computer operations
- Assist when needed in all areas of maintenance when workload dictates the need. Respond to emergency/after hour calls including snow removal.
- Perform preventive maintenance work in its entirety, complete or schedule repairs as needed, and maintain the necessary records consistent with the maintenance tracking system
- Responsible for the coordination of material availability for the completion of work. Purchase materials in accordance with company purchasing policies.
