Job Summary

• Start Date: October 1, 2023
• Hours: Monday - Friday, schedule similar to 9 am - 5 pm; 36-40 hours a week guaranteed; open to 4 day work week for the right fit
• Hourly Rate: $26 - 32/hour
• Children: 6-year-old and Newborn | No Pets
• Vacation: One week paid of the family's choice, one week paid of the nanny's choice, 3 sick or personal days and all major holidays
• Covid and Flu shot required

Responsibilities and Duties

• WHO/WHAT: Do you frequently volunteer to sit at the kids’ table because, HELLO, that’s where the good times roll? Two laid-back professionals are expecting a baby boy who’ll join his smart six-year-old big sis this summer. They’re seeking an infant-experienced nanny to help them out, full-time, four or five DAYS per week. Both parents work from home in leadership positions with their respective organizations. (Read: they’re on the periphery but busy and will stay out of your hair, so you’ll have the run of the house.) They also each travel for work but never at the same time. Big sis is at school or camp during the day, so you’ll establish and maintain a consistent routine for the newborn’s care. You’ll hold, comfort, feed, burp, change, and play with the baby. There will be many days when their daughter is home and she’ll need your extra attention. That could look like taking her on play dates or to swim club, but typically it’ll look like you two having a blast together. She’s intelligent, empathetic, and talkative. You’ll use your imagination to create art, conduct science experiments, and build things together. With full access to a family vehicle, you’ll need to drive and be able to swim. There are no allergies, but please be up-to-date on your flu shot and COVID vaccines. During downtime, you’ll help to keep the house tidy by washing bottles, vacuuming, and sweeping. The grandparents are very involved and eager to help, so you’ll truly be joining a village of support. We adore this family and are confident they’ll make excellent, long-term employers.

You have a ton of infant experience, are nurturing by nature, and know exactly how to make an older sibling feel included. You’re active, engaged, honest, and plan to stick around for the next few years. As a seasoned nanny, you bring a ton of pro tips and proven methods. But you’re also flexible to fresh ideas and welcome self-reflection. A bonus if your nightstand has parenting books like “Expecting Better” and “Raising Bebe” on it.
