Robert Half is working with a real estate management company in need of talented and eager Bookkeepers for a new permanent role within their accounting team. Interested candidates are encouraged to apply today! The Bookkeeper will direct cash applications, data entry, and full cycle A/P/AR. Additionally, you will be responsible for reconciliations, invoices, and 1099's. This role is a great match for organized and self-driven professionals. This Bookkeeper opportunity will be located in the Tucson, Arizona area and will be a permanent position.How you will make an impact
- Primary responsibilities include processing accounts payable invoices and cash receipts for multiple entities
- Timely completion of payments to vendors and creditors on a weekly payment cycle
- Properly code invoices per company policies and procedures
- Obtain required invoice approvals and compliance documents
- Reconcile vendors’ invoices to statements, investigating any variances
- Reconcile multiple bank accounts, receivables and payables
- Maintain electronic invoice records by property
- Assist with accounts receivable collections as needed
- Assist in the preparation of annual 1099s
- File AZ sales and use tax reports
- Participate in budget preparation for multiple properties
- Assist with special projects as needed
- Able to organize information and task and progress related to multiple projects and properties
- Can clearly communicate financial information to non-financial users
- Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports
- Strong business writing skills including the ability to relay information in an organized and readable format for emails,
- Effectively manage time across multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight
- Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new skills
- Knowledgeable on the rules of accrual and cash basis of accounting, including capitalization policies and accruals
- Ability to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
- At least three years of experience as a full charge bookkeeper required
- High school diploma or similar accreditation required
- Skilled user of QuickBooks reporting, journal entries, and check writing features required
- Prior experience or familiarity with Yardi is a plus
- Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of MS Excel including sorting and analyzing data and use of formulas
- Associates Degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred
