About the Role
The Full Stack Engineer at iCapital will work end-to-end on new features, enhancements, and defect resolution on one or more of iCapital's software platforms. You will work closely with our Product Management team throughout the software development process, writing automated tests, and doing code review on pull requests, among other duties.
Responsibilities
- Backend development in Ruby 2.7+ and Rails 6+
- Frontend development in React and React Query
- Unit and integration test development using RSpec, Cucumber, Capybara and Enzyme
- Active participation in stand-up meetings
- Active participation in Peer Code Reviews as part of our standard SDLC and Change Management Process
Qualifications
- 6+ years of Full Stack, web-based application development
- 3+ years of development experience with Ruby on Rails. Python or Scala would be a good substitute if there's less expertise with Ruby.
- 3+ years of development experience with React and Redux and HTML / CSS development
- 2+ years of test automation development in a Ruby on Rails environment
- Demonstrated understanding of relational database concepts and modeling practices
- Ability to work in an Agile / Kanban methodology
- Ability to work independently or as part of a group effort, as required
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Collaborative approach to software development
Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $150,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
