Full-Time Faculty: Graphic Design
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our faculty team in the field of graphic design. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing courses in graphic design, advising and mentoring students, engaging in research and scholarly activities, and participating in departmental and college-wide service activities.

The graphic design program serves approximately 40 students offering two degrees, two majors, and minor:
  • Majors – BA in Graphic Design, and BFA in Graphic Design
  • Minors – Design
Essential Duties:
  • Teach a range of graphic design courses at the undergraduate level, including but not limited to: introduction to graphic design, typography, branding, advertising design, publication design, web design, and user experience design.
  • Develop and revise course content and materials to ensure relevance and currency in the field.
  • Conduct research and scholarly activities in the field of graphic design, and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the discipline
  • Engage with industry professionals and stay current with emerging trends and technologies in the field.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide service activities, including curriculum development, assessment, and program review.
Education & Experience:
  • Master's Degree: Required
  • Terminal Degree: Preferred
  • At least three years of professional experience in graphic design or a related field.
  • Experience teaching at the college level, preferably in graphic design.
  • A strong portfolio of work that demonstrates expertise in a variety of graphic design mediums and techniques.
  • A Master of Fine Arts (MFA), Master of Design (MDes), Master of Art and Design (MAD), Master of Graphic Design (MGraph), or equivalent advanced degree in graphic/visual communication design
Competencies:
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
