Gardening Assistant - approx 1 month, PT or FT - Starting pay $17, up to $22+

High-end central Denver landscape and gardening/maintenance firm seeks happy, positive, self-motivated, focused team players for our gardening division for planting seasonal annuals, pots and vegetables. This is a part time or full time seasonal position for approximately 1 month. (Potential for future PT or FT employment.)

As a crew member, you’ll generally work with 1 other person, planting seasonal annuals, pots and vegetables as well as performing work related to the care and upkeep of these items and possibly general garden and landscape maintenance. This position is unique as it may lead to working independently once you are trained. The ability to work alone, communicate thoroughly and timely as well as manage your time efficiently is a must! We’re a small firm and stand by this motto: there’s no such thing as ‘not my job’. Everyone fills in as needed. We work as a closely knit team AND we have fun.

Minimum Requirements:

• Working cell phone; able to text and send pictures.
• Ability to clearly communicate information and needs to team members, leaders, and management team.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and clean driving record. This position will require you to possibly use your own vehicle for transportation directly to client's locations. Gas reimbursement if you need to use your own vehicle.
• Ability to work 5+ hours per day in inclement weather conditions (overtime and/or weekend work may be required at times). Hours may start as early as 6am.
• Maintain a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with co-workers, clients, and general public.
• Able to pass background check.
• Clean and professional appearance.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day.
• Bilingual is a plus, but not required.

Job Operations and Responsibilities:

Prior landscaping/gardening experience is a huge plus! Hands-on training is provided, but ideally you’ll have some gardening/landscaping knowledge and the following skills:

• General knowledge of planting and maintaining flower beds, applying topsoil and fertilizer, weeding, pruning, and other seasonal duties.
• Perform other duties as required – flexibility is key!
• Starting pay is $18/hr, up to $22. We give raises based upon experience and performance.
