We are looking for a Meter Readers in the Cork region to join our team and assist our billing department by reading gas meters on homes and businesses.

Meter Reader responsibilities include traveling to the homes and businesses of our customers to read their gas meters and input their meter reading into our database.

Ultimately, you will work alone to record information about the meters in a handheld device so our billing department can be sure that customers are paying the appropriate amount based on their gas usage.

Meter Reader responsibilities include:

• Inputting gas usage/ meter reading into the handheld database.
• Traveling to the local region allocated to you to inspect/read domestic and businesses gas meters daily.
• Assessing each utility meter during the visit to ensure the meter is working correctly.

• Greet customers at their homes or places of business when the meter is not accessible from the outside, and ask for access to their meter for a reading/inspection.

Requirements and skills

• Experience as a Meter Reader or similar role is helpful but not necessary
• Valid Full driver’s license
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently
• Relevant training will be given

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From €610.00 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay
• Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Cork, County Cork: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
