Excellence Recruiting is seeking a Talented General Dentist to join a fast-growing, multi-site leader in the Dental Industry. You will be partnering with a dedicated team of Dental professionals in the fast-paced environment of their Portland, OR practice.

This permanent position is full-time on-site, with a work schedule 4 to 5 days a week between Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.

General Dentist Position Overview:

As a General Dentist with our client group, you will experience a supportive partnership between your pursuit of clinical excellence with our Practice Service Team allowing you to focus your time on patients and not worry about day to day operational tasks of running a clinic.

The General Dentist will diagnose, treat and advise patients on various dental issues.

The General Dentist will be responsible for Conducting oral screenings to identify diseases and infections, Removing tooth decay and plaque, and applying prosthetics, sealers, and whiteners. You’ll need to have experience treating a range of teeth and gum problems, from simple cases like removing plaque to more complex procedures (e.g. placing dental implants). Ultimately, you’ll promote good oral health and help patients apply preventive dental care.

General Dentist Responsibilities:

• Check-ups, exams, and cleanings for all ages.
• Digital X-rays and oral cancer screenings.
• Periodontal therapy and treatment for gum disease.
• Tooth-colored fillings.
• Crowns, bridges, and dentures.
• Implant Restoration.
• Dentistry for the WHOLE family — all ages.
• Cosmetic dentistry, including ZOOM! teeth whitening and veneers.
• Treatment for clenching or grinding.
• Emergency dental care.

• Examine patients’ medical records.
• Prepare patients for treatment (e.g. by applying oral sedation or anesthesia).
• Check teeth, gums, and other parts of the mouth, along with X-rays and tests, to diagnose dental problems.
• Clean teeth and remove plaque.
• Identify tooth decay and replace cavities with fillings.
• Design and fit dental prosthetics, such as bridges, crowns, and dentures.
  
• Conduct tooth extractions and root canal procedures.
• Perform surgeries on diseased tissues and bones.
• Prescribe medication as needed.
• Educate patients on proper brushing techniques, flossing, and fluoride use.
• Promote good oral health and preventive dental care (e.g. by scheduling regular check-ups.
• In-depth understanding of dental hygiene.
• Experience with dental equipment and tools.
• Experience with surgeries and teeth extractions.
• A pleasant and compassionate personality with the ability to make patients feel comfortable.
  
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.

General Dentist Required Qualifications:

• At least 1-3 years of experience as a Licensed General Dentist.
• Possess a DDS: Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree: /DMD: Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree.
• Must Possess an active and unrestricted license in the state of Oregon.
• Possess clinical knowledge to practice comprehensive dentistry, including diagnosing and treating oral health issues.
  
• Have the ability to become credentialed with dental insurance plans.
• Nitrous Sedation Certificate per State requirement
• Current CPR Card
• NPI Number
• DEA Certificate
  
• Possess an In-depth understanding of dental hygiene.
• Experience with dental equipment and tools.
• Experience with surgeries and teeth extractions.
• Possess a pleasant and compassionate personality with the ability to make patients feel comfortable.

General Dentist Preferred qualifications:

Previous success with producing $500k+/year.

General Dentist Compensation:

Our client offers compensation based on production and growth. The salary range for the General Dentist is up to 31% of net production with a base guaranteed of $1350 production per day.
