High Mountain Timber has been in operation in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in Dailey, WV since 2002. We purchase standing timber, timber land, cut logs, develop and manage commercial property. We also provide an array of bulk mulch and split firewood options.

This specific position will start out by fulfilling all of our firewood and bulk mulch orders. Our top priority when hiring is to keep our employees long term and do provide several growth path opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Split and fulfill firewood orders daily.
• Able to operate skid steerer.
• Wrap and fulfill bundles of firewood.
• When there's downtime or when needed, sweep the garage, clean machines, and anything else needed to help keep production flowing.

Job Requirements:

• MUST live in the Elkins/Dailey/Beverly/Valley Bend or Head/or surrounding area ~OR~ be comfortable with a commute to Dailey, WV.
• MUST be able to work M-F from 8:00am to 5:00pm. We encourage students to apply as well. We can be flexible with student hours.
• MUST have previous logging or log yard labor experience.
• MUST be able to run a chain saw at an expert level.
• MUST be capable of running Case wheel loaders.
• Knuckleboom loader experience preferred but not required.
• MUST be able to pass a preliminary drug test.
• Ability to manage time and multi-task effectively to fulfill orders in a timely manner.
• MUST have a valid driver's license & own method of transportation.
• Ability to pick up 50+lbs throughout the day is required for all positions.
