As General Manager you will report directly to the Managing Director and your role will be key in ensuring the continued growth and also continued creation of value for shareholders in partnership with the MD.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the Manufacturing Site
• Managing staff on a day-to-day basis including the reassignment of staff in response to the changing demands of customer
• Factory Production Efficiency
• Quality Controls on Production
• Processes & Procedures and enforcement of same (ISO 9001)
• Staff Welfare & Staff Training
• Staff Appraisals & Career development planning
• Ensuring that all deadlines for each of the specific activities are met in a timely manner;
• Delivering a consistently high quality of service to customers, staff and other stakeholders
• Monitoring and managing the performance of the Operations function based on agreed targets and KPIs
• Addressing in an efficient and effective manner, any operational issues that may arise
• Engaging with key service users including clients, staff, and Senior Managers
• Leading the senior management team and actively contributing to the success of an organisation
• Lead specific strategic goals and objectives of the Organisation

Requirements:

• 5+ years’ experience at a leadership level in a Manufacturing/Engineering environment
• Strong understanding of finance and cost management
• Ambitious and commercial individual with excellent man-management and communication skills
• Flexible, strong work ethic
• Experience in managing multiple KPI’s
• Strong decision-making skills
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Strong influencer
• Must have the ability to delegate effectively
